In January of 2005, I was diagnosed with stage 3 testicular cancer, and underwent a grueling year of treatments, surgery, and chemotherapy. My newborn daughter was just five months old at the time, and I was scared that I might not live long enough to see her grow up. I suspected that diet somehow played a part in my illness, but I knew that diet would become part of my healing. Thankfully, I recovered fully, and decided to make my work count for something more than just eating as entertainment. I wanted to make sure that my daughter and other children would have healthier food options available to them.
To honor this commitment, I later made a career change and dedicated myself to bringing better-for-you food to families, and for four years helped run Chloe’s Soft Serve Fruit Co. What better way to indulge my culinary and business passions than to help launch and grow a vegan dessert company? I was never prouder to share the tasty treats that I helped create with my daughter.
SOLUTIONTOPIA was created
Two years ago, I decided to help bring more natural food and beverage brands to market by sharing my passion, and launched SOLUTIONTOPIA. We are an operations firm focused on the natural food and beverage consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. We help foodpreneurs bypass the pitfalls and stumbling blocks that get in the way of bringing their natural food and beverage products to market.

I want to share these many learnings and solutions through easily accessible online courses. Reaching my goal of $15,000 will allow me to fully develop, market, and launch a comprehensive platform of courses and webinars for foodpreneurs everywhere. This coursework will be created in a tiered series that will be cost effective for start-up businesses, and will include great resources focused on everything from basic food business math, to converting recipes to industry standard manufacturing formulations, to learning the ins and outs of finding and managing a co-packer relationship for scaling production.
